My Little Mermaid | Howell, MI Children's Photographer, Brighton, MI Children's Photographer, Novi, MI Children's Photographer

Well here she is I caught her hook, line and sinker. The one who runs from the camera every chance she gets, the one who is now bribing me for a trip to Disney. Here she is in all her glory...my sweet Little Mermaid wannabe! I knew this would be the perfect time to try and grab one or two shots of my little lady, because I would have the advantage...she's got no where to run to :) So I waited, very patiently and begged and pleaded a little(I'm not going to lie)and then finally I was able to capture this. Is it perfect? No. The lighting was junk, and you can't even tell what my sweet girl looks like...but for me that's ok. I know what she looks like...but chances are I'd forget down the road how she loved to wear her swim goggles in the bathtub! Now I have the perfect reminder of how my first baby...who's growing up way to fast, liked to spend her time in the tub...pretending to live under the sea!

Flying High | Senior Photographer, Senior Pictures, Howell, MI Photographer, Brighton, MI Photographer, Birmingham, MI Photographer

I love capturing people doing what they are passionate about it makes my heart sing! Probably because I'm so passionate about being a photographer and I just know how it feels to be able to do something that you love. This kid rocks at skateboarding...I have to admit, I was extremely impressed with his mad skateboarding skillzzzzz! I've tried skateboarding before and couldn't even make it 2 feet without falling on my face. Keep your eyes peeled folks, at the rate this guy is going...he'll be competing in the X Games before you know it!

Children's Photographer at Rainbow Showroom= Mission Impossible | South Lyon, MI Children's Photographer, Milford, MI Children's Photographer

So I decided to take my kids to Rainbow Recreation of Michigan to play. If you've never checked it out...I highly suggest you do so. Tues and Thurs it's free to play before 11:00 and any other time it's just $5 per child. Our goal was to get there prior to 11:00a.m. to save some cash but little did we know that we would be stuck in a gigantic traffic jam for 1 1/2 hrs. So my girls and I made the best of it and turned lemons into lemonade. We rocked out hard core to some Lady Gaga. While our car was at a standstill...I'm sure the cars around us were wondering what was going on as our car rocked back and fourth to the beat! Luckily my little ladies were having fun and being patient and when we finally got there they were able to let loose. Kind of a bummer for me...because I wasn't able to get a single picture of either of them...they definitely made themselves scarce. I did get a few of my niece and nephew and some of the friends that we met up with there. Creativity went completely out the window...I was lucky to get anything worth posting. Trying to watch my kids and take pictures of other kids...was definitely a challenge but worth it.

I simplified my post processing does anyone see a difference?

A Children Photographer's Dream...Howell, MI Children's Photographer, Brighton MI Children's Photographer, Detroit, MI Photographer,

I'm pretty sure that if you're a Children's Photographer and you have children...you probably dream of being able to take amazing pictures of your kids. When I pull out the camera, I pull out the bribes too...and 99% of the time that doesn't even work. The bribes started out small like "If you let Mommy take some really great pictures of you then I'll give you this sucker when we're all done!" and they've quickly changed to my daughter's bribing me "Mommy, I'll let you take some pictures only if we can go to Disney World!" As you can see, they've caught on which makes my job as a Mother and Photographer very, very, difficult. Lucky for me...all it took today was for me to allow my sweet 3yrd old to take her tiny, plastic ducky family outside in her little brown purse. Normally, I don't allow the duckies to leave the house because they belong to a game and I'm too scared the pieces will get lost. But today...I could make that tiny exception. She was thrilled and so was I. It was a win, win for both of us. When I snapped this shot...she was talking to her little duckies. I heard her say something like "Hey little duckies are you okay sweetie pies, are you cold in there little guys...awwwww it's okay little guys, it's okay, we're almost done babies, we're almost done!" Gosh I love her! Now if only my 5 1/2 yr old would settle for something a little less extravagant than another trip to Disney World.

Happy Birthday!!! Howell, MI Children's Photographer, Child Photographer, Portrait Photographer, Detroit, MI Photographer

It's hard to believe that my sweet baby girl just turned 3 this week. I begged her to stay tiny forever but she just won't listen....she keeps telling me "No Mommy I'm a big girl now because I'm "free" (three). Her chubby little wrists are slowly disappearing along with her stocky stature. She's stretching out and losing that baby look. Oh how I wish I could keep her this way forever! Thankfully I'll have this picture to remember her by. Happy Birthday "Big Sweeds"! I love you tons!!!

Beach Ballerinas | Sarasota, Florida Children's Photographer, Siesta Key, Florida Child Photographer, Family Photographer

A little something to warm up the cold winter blues. I took this picture of my two daughters and my niece while on vacation last summer. For those of you who don't know....we love Florida and love, love, love Siesta Key. The beaches are to die for! I've had some Floridians interested in booking a session. I'd love to take a week and come down just for beach sessions sometime this summer. Please send me an email if you are interested. Once I get enough interest I will then try to nail down some firm dates.

Although I'm soooo over pictures of my girls in tutu's....apparently they're not. I'll take whatever I can get at this point.

Tresspassing With My Adorable Nephews! Detroit, Michigan Children's Photographer, Brighton, MI Children's Photographer, Howell, MI Photographer

Ahhhhh(That's me screaming)! I feel so bad that I haven't posted any pictures of my adorable nephews that I took back in....um I don't know October maybe :( They are so cute, if only I had the time to post all of them. I had a lot of fun with this session...despite the fact that we got kicked off of the first location because we were trespassing or something....oooopsies! I swear I'm a good person....but hey...when a great location seems to be screaming at me to come take pictures of people on it....it's really, really hard to ignore the voices. Unfortunately for me it's not so hard to ignore the crunching of leaves and the snapping of dry twigs as the owner of the property approached us. Talk about being on pins and needles. He asked us very kindly if we could move our photo session elsewhere. I agreed with tears in my eyes.....oh awesome location how I wish I could've used you. Anyway, I did feel better when the man said that I was the 5th photographer that week that he had to ask to leave. shhhhew(sigh of relief for those of you who don't know what shhhhew is) Hey at least I'm not the only trespasser ;)

Anyway...enough babble for now. Onto the super adorable boys below. Enjoy!!
